154MB mega.nz/file/IAQHiIgJ#xLdP5YRTiTqWQpogha7JJm7K-0N90xpRUpUY8bxWbIMThe thing I could never get past, when it came to not "warming" toward liking this song, is: how, the recording quality just has this odd mechanical-like distortion (especially: surrounding the drums and guitar volume pedal-effect) saturated throughout it??? It sounds like they were, literally, playing inside a cardboard box due to all the compression applied (aaannnddd: the fact that Paul's vocal lines during the chorus parts sound woollen as well as flown-in from the later, post-HELP!/"embellishments sessions" only serve to make matters sonically worse)! It probably had to do with the electronics of the machine they were creating the November '65 overdubs/bounce-downs on being different from the foundational recording mastered during HELP! (their main pre-Pepper/Studer J37 four-track having been in the 1964-1966 period, I believe?, a Telefunken M10). The "completed remix" could've been copied from a contrasting Studer A62 recorder at some point in the production and, that would certainly account for the fidelity discrepancy.
