A song which became "iconic"; due-to Capitol having made it into a (no. 1) single (2/65) when, oppositely, Britain did not.
Unfortunately, the excess reverb turns the ride cymbal into sounding like Gold Star Studio sleigh bells in a cave and: turns an otherwise Folk-y ballad into seeming like a "Rocker" (as well as: making the fidelity suffer by becoming way too "sizzling"; where, if you try to tame the reverb in the 900Hz - 1300Hz region: it sucks dry the vocal it's baked into...or, if you try to dial back the brightness of the treble between 6500Hz - 8200Hz: it then becomes too dull because of how much Capitol had compressed it already).
